Why Pre-Apply?

Full applications for teacher training courses are ultimately made via the Department for Education (DfE) website. However, the process can be rather daunting, as you are required to provide a great deal of information, including:

> Full details of your qualifications: GCSEs, A-Levels & Degree(s) or their equivalents, including dates and grades.
> Full work experience, with details & dates of all paid/unpaid jobs you have had since leaving school, including gaps in work history, e.g. due to illness, unemployment, raising a family, etc.
> Your Personal Statement of 500-1000 words.

> Provision of two personal references.

> Reponses to questions about interview availability, safeguarding, equality, diversity and more.

We therefore ask potential applicants to start by completing our short, simple Pre-Application Form (below) so we can contact you to as early as possible in the process. Many of our successful applicants have found this to be a very valuable stepping stone, as we can help you fully understand your options, answer any questions you may have (e.g. as to whether you would qualify for a bursary of up to £29,000 or scholarship of up to £31,000) and provide you with guidance and support through the full application process.
